O2 - AERIAL ACADEMIC COURT - R.jpg

Agricultural College

This 65,000 sq. m.  agriculture college in 350-ares site is formed of low-rise and basic building forms inspired by the surrounding farm buildings and fields. The academic and workshop buildings are woven into the landscape of fields, orchards and plantations. The college buildings are organized like an academic village of streets, squares, courtyards, farms, green-houses, workshops for campus activities. Thus, a combination of historical and smart, sustainable master planning which preserves the land for the future growth.

The key unifying element is the solar pergola/ photovoltaic canopy that weaves through every college building in the academic village and housing type in the residential village. The campus square, a lively courtyard, at the heart of the campus is programmed with all the common function buildings to join the academic and the residential villages. Smaller interstitial courts, meeting courts in between colleges and recreational courts in the housing provide other opportunities for discourse, congregation and relaxation.
