Located on the outskirts of Tabriz, Iran, the program for this 130 acres site consists of a hotel/conference center, housing complex, office/retail/shopping center, film theater/amusement center and an area marked for future development.  The design of the urban center is based on a spiral organizational structure and a contemporary reinterpretation of traditional urban spaces in Iran.  The traditional bazaar streets are reinterpreted as enclosed commercial spines.  The entire development is connected with shaded arcades, atriums and galleries.  Inspired by the Maiden of Isfahan, a central park is designed with reflecting pools, a courtyard and sunken gardens.
